Dr. Andrew Gene Miller
Clinical Psychologist
Therapy
Therapy begins with a personal connection. I work with each client to create an individualized treatment based on their unique goals and experiences. I believe that therapy should respect human diversity and complexity, and avoid a focus on pathology in favor of a developmental / humanistic perspective.
I treat a wide variety of problems; including: stress, anxiety, repetitive or intrusive thoughts, poor emotional control, impulsive behaviors, problems with drugs or alcohol, harmful or unsatisfying relationships, LGBT issues, difficulty recovering from a traumatic experience, adjustment to loss or major life change, loneliness, isolation, guilt, and depression.
My professional experience includes extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Time Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
